Whether your requirements are simple static benches, sideways rolling
benches, or a fully automated container system, Bridge Greenhouses can meet your needs. All of
the systems we install are designed to suit the individual requirements of
our customers.

Best suited for a labour intensive crop, which requires work in situ. The
benches raise the crop off the floor, allowing easier access. The main
disadvantage of static benching is the space used in the access pathways.
Sideways rolling benches are used to overcome this problem where, as in most
cases space saving is critical. This type of bench can be fitted with a
number of different bases to suit the growers irrigation/ventilation
requirements – e.g. ebb and flood liners, or a mesh base.

Using container benches opens up a many possibilities for the automation
of a nursery.
The most basic is the manual system, by which the containers are moved
around the growing area by hand using a series of rollers and rail-pipes.
This movement helps to achieve the most efficient growing conditions,
economies of labour, improved working conditions and increased quality and
uniformity in plants.
By using containers it is easy to choose the level
of automation to best suit the growers requirements and budget. It is also
possible to add automation at a later date. Transport cars, motorised
transport lines, work stations, pushers, pullers, stackers, de-stackers,
washing machines, robotic handling machines………….where you stop is up to
you!!
