LED
LED lighting is becoming increasingly prominent in UK horticulture.
With highly fluctuating weather and growing conditions (for certain crops) often gracing the UK, the need for an optimal greenhouse climate is always going to be an important factor.
Our LED lighting installations allow our clients the ability to control heat and light separately.
Rather than working to counteract the high radiant heat emissions you experience using HPS lighting systems, LEDs can often allow you to produce more light for your crop whilst reducing heat exertion by 60-70%.
It is also beneficial to install supplementary and hybrid LED/HPS lighting.
A lot of salad and soft fruit growers have been placing LED lighting next to their HPS systems in order to minimise heat emissions and gain better control over their glasshouse climate. Growers that have implemented this method have seen much more uniformed produce than previous harvests as well as significant energy savings.

Greenhouse roof drone spraying
Using the latest technology, we offer drone spraying to clean or tint the glass roofs of commercial greenhouses.
Glasshouse roofs can become dirty, reducing the amount of sunshine the plants inside receive. Using the latest environmentally-safe sprays, this dirt can be quickly removed and prevented.
Alternatively, for plants which requires less direct sunlight, it can be beneficial to spray roofs to increase their opacity.
We offer both options – delivered by GPS controlled drones which deposit an even spray across every square centimeter.
Compared to tradition manual cleaning or spraying, the benefits are clear:

Irrigation & Fogging
Fogging
Fogging systems are now a widely used option within UK glasshouses.
Humidity is one of the most important growth factors within a greenhouse climate. Humidity levels have been proven to have a direct and indirect effect on the production and the quality of crops.
High pressure fogging equipment is paving the way to achieving greater control of any climate; the thin fog provides an increase in humidity with an accompanied cooling effect, providing your plants their optimal growing conditions.
Our systems supply a fog into the air through high-pressure nozzles within the ranges of 70-100bar. The fog evaporates and withdraws heat energy from the air so that two effects can be achieved simultaneously: cooling and humidification.
Heating & Cooling
Glasshouse and Greenhouse Heating Systems & Solutions
Growers will nearly always include a greenhouse heating system of some kind to achieve optimum production. The Bridge Biomass heating team have many years experience in the design and installation of all types of glasshouse heating.
We are here to advise on the most appropriate system for any individual requirement, whether it be a Biomass boiler, single air heater, root-zone floor heating, in crop heating or a piped hot water system. We design our heating systems for low running costs, low maintenance cost, and maximum efficiency.
We supply and install all the necessary components of the boilerhouse, from the boilers themselves, to the pressure system, mixing groups, flue gas condensers, heat recovery units and computer control systems.
We also specialize in all types of renewable heating and the successful integration into the glasshouse heating systems.
