Hills Plants New Building and Second-Hand Biomass Boiler
Project by Bridge Greenhouses
Bridge Greenhouses, along with our partners, designed, delivered, and constructed a new portal-framed building for Hills Plants. This building houses a new biomass project and provides valuable space for the client.
For this project, Bridge Greenhouses took care of all the structure and all the civil works including the main slab and extensive concrete works for the rising scraper conveyor belt fuel delivery system to the boiler. The new biomass boiler was installed and carefully integrated into the existing heating system to provide optimal performance.
The biomass boiler, which was second-hand, came with the RHI (Government Renewable Heat Incentive) grant carried over. This allowed Hills to benefit from the grant scheme, significantly reducing their heating bills.
Hills are well-acquainted with the advantages of biomass boilers, as Bridge Greenhouses had previously installed their first biomass boiler at their other site when the RHI was available.
Industry: House Plants
